 Every year, the students are given the chance to enter a number of creative writing competitions. Earlier this term, students throughout the school wrote creative pieces – any genre they liked – on the subject of Education (in its widest sense!) for the Rupert Brooke Creative Writing Competition organised by Rugby School. Watch this space for news about winners in the spring! Soon, girls will be invited to enter the school’s own Jessie Wright Poetry Competition, in memory of former student Jessie who loved poetry recitation. Pupils in years 8 and 9 are invited to enter the recitation competition and years 10 to 13 students enter the poetry competition. This year, the theme is Hope.
