Last week, as part of our Language Specialism, Year 8 celebrated a day of Russian culture at RHS. The girls experienced a full day’s programme of workshops, encompassing language, history, art, dance, and drama. At lunchtime, the rest of school was invited to watch traditional Russian dance performed by the “Cossack Troup”, a lively, uplifting show which everyone really enjoyed. Mr Pickles and his team joined in the fun and offered us all the chance to have a Russian themed lunch, which was very tasty.
We would like to thank Mrs Price, Mrs Leech, Mr Kukucalik, Ms Stirling, Mr Grady, Mrs Eggleston, Mr Stanley and Mrs Richmond for delivering their workshops. A special thank you to Mrs Chaudhry and Mrs Clewlow for all their help, and finally, 8HS for their lovely Russian Dolls which decorated our Reception area. The girls designed and hand-decorated each individual doll to create a wonderful display.
