At the moment, I am a Deputy House captain for Hepworth, along with 2 other girls and a captain. To get this position of responsibility, I had to apply and then be interviewed by Form Reps. Doing this I have grown in confidence by helping organise and lead assemblies, both to the upper and lower parts of the school. I have helped run a talent show for all years and this was a great success and lots of fun. I've also promoted the House for example, on Sports Day and I helped to run a benchball tournament. It’s enjoyable to work with new people in your year and it’s a great way to get to know other people who you wouldn’t normally associate yourself with. It helps the lower years to see a friendly face and the competition element, makes everyone feel like a team. I would recommend it as something to apply for as it is a post of responsibility, it looks good on your UCAS application and it is fun!
