Rugby High School

We are delighted to be able to share with you the results of the school’s Ofsted inspection which took place on 27th and 28th of November 2008 and which was conducted by a team of four inspectors who were themselves being inspected by an HMI to ensure compliance with the quality assurance standards (even inspectors get inspected these days!).

As in February 2006, the school has been graded ‘Outstanding’. We are absolutely delighted with this judgement and would like to thank parents for the many expressions of support contained in the parental questionnaires. Report Summary

We are extremely pleased that the enormous effort that has gone into developing the school and building on our past successes has been recognised. I would like to thank the school’s governors and all the staff (especially Mrs Moore, Mr Buck, Mrs Whitmore, Mrs Watts and Mrs Grogan – the other members of the school’s Senior Leadership Team) who have been tireless in their quest to continue raising standards which are already high.

We are extremely proud of our students’ achievements, but we are not complacent. As expressed in the school motto, we have set ‘heights’ in our ‘hearts’. We want our students to have the very best opportunities that we can create to learn and to develop as young women. That means continuing to provide students with a curriculum which is stimulating and meets their individual learning needs; with a rich diet of cultural and extra-curricular activities of all kinds; with opportunities to lead and to work together for the good of others and looking always for ways in which we can be innovative and build on our success. We look forward to working with all of our stakeholders as we continue to develop our provision in the coming years.
