FLAGS (Foreign Languages Awareness Group for Schools) HALLO! This term year 9 students had the great opportunity to take part in an interesting project with Birmingham University and Routes into Languages. FLAGS German is an e-learning project to encourage students to learn new languages and a group of year 9 students joined this 9 week project in which they learnt about the German language and culture through online activities. Year 9 students had the wonderful help of their German e-mentors from Birmingham University and the support of a group of year 10 volunteers from Rugby High School who have been learning German for many years. The 9 week project finished with a FUN session. The German tutors visited RHS and organised a big fun quiz with the girls drawing on the things they had learnt during this project. All students attending were able to choose some book prizes and received a certificate for taking part in FLAGS. Herzlichen Glückwunsch...(Congratulations!)
