Technology is changing very rapidly and is sometimes used as a means of gaining contact with young people by those with criminal motives. Cyber-bullying is a significant issue for many young people. It is important that young people know how to keep safe when using new technologies. The school’s e-Safe Education system is helping us to identify potential risks and abuses that are not picked up by a normal filtering service and to address them promptly. We know that although students theoretically know how to keep themselves safe when using new technologies, they don’t always act in accordance with this knowledge, especially when they are not at school.
