Welcome to the Science Department.
Our aim is to give each girl an appreciation, knowledge and understanding of scientific facts, history, methods and applications and to develop her practical and investigative skills. Whether she proceeds to advanced studies or finishes her formal science training at GCSE she should have a broad, informed foundation for the future.
All girls are taught balanced science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and How Science Works) from Years 7 to 9. In Years 10 and 11 girls have a choice between GCSE Science/Additional Science or the Separate Sciences; GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Biology, Chemistry and Physics are available at both AS & A2.
