Public Examination Results 2010

Today students at Rugby High School are celebrating the best A Level results in the school’s history. 52.8% of all entries were awarded A* or A grades. The A/B pass rate was 82.3%. The A*-C pass rate was 95.8%. The overall pass rate was 100%. 14.2% of all entries were awarded the new A* grade. 3 students obtained 4 A* passes. Students are now looking forward to taking up their places at Britain’s top universities including Oxford, Cambridge and Durham.

We are absolutely delighted by our students’ success. Students at Rugby High School are expected to attend classes regularly and to undertake significant independent learning between lessons. Teachers give many extra hours to supporting students. It is this mutual commitment to learning which is at the heart of this success. Well done, class of 2010. Year 11 students at Rugby High School are celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results. 71.2% of all entries were awarded A* or A. Five students were awarded 10 or more A*s. Students at the school bucked the national trend: more than 90% of students took at least one Modern Foreign Language and the pass rate was 100%. The overall pass rate was 98.5%. 96.8% of students obtained 5A*-Cs including English and Maths. Well done, Year 11. The school is proud of your success. Keep on setting those heights in your hearts and you will go far!

Rugby High School (RHS) is a Specialist Science and Specialist Language college. This means that we have a special commitment to sharing knowledge and understanding of science and languages within the school, with our partner schools and with the local community. RHS is one of the country’s 164 grammar schools catering for academically able girls aged 11-18. We are an inclusive school community where you will find students from a wide variety of social and cultural backgrounds as well as students with special educational needs and disabilities.

The school is currently exploring the possibility of becoming an academy.

Students joining year 12 in September 2010 may find some preparatory work from several departments in our 6th form documents section.
